"A successful marriage requires falling in love many times, always with the same person." - Mignon McLaughlin

We spent our first winter together in a nice apartment on campus. To be honest, we were so excited to live together that we stayed in most of the winter. We went to school and work, and then just played board games and watched movies. It was great. We were really bad at making new friends, but we were content spending time with just each other.
When summer came we were able to do a lot of fun things. First of which, we got to see my older brother James graduate! We were definitely jealous of him because we still had two more years to go.
Soon after that we were able to take a trip down to California to spend time with my family. We got to go to the San Diego Zoo - something Jordan has wanted to do for a VERY long time. We had so much fun and it was like a dream come true for Jordan.
We did lots of little random things throughout the summer. Most of them were pretty spontaneous, but they were so fun and relieved a lot of the previous stress we had about school and work.
Over the summer we found out great ways to get free food. July 11 = free slurpee at 7-Eleven and July 12 = free Chick-fil-a if you dress up like a cow. I think we scored some other free food, but I can't remember exactly how.
Our biggest trip that summer was our trip to Idaho and Yellowstone with Jordan's family. It was the furthest north and the furthest east I had ever been in the US (yes I'm from Southern California and I like it there). It was so beautiful in Idaho and Wyoming! I had never seen rivers and wildlife like in Yellowstone either.

This turtle was seriously a dinosaur! So cool!
Yes, we like taking goofy pictures.
I was spying on Jordan... and an elephant.
My brothers James and Ryan on the left, and Jordan and I are on the right.
These dandelions were so big. This was right before we were going to see Man of Steel in the theaters with Jordan's family. He wore his Superman shirt and I wore my Batman shirt. :)
And what good is summer without some sparklers?
Jordan thought his utters were so cool. ha ha

Yay!! Another blog post! :) You two are so cute. I have been meaning to blog about yellowstone too, I need to get on it. Haha. That is funny about the giraffe. And for what ever reason I laughed at the picture of Shaylee asleep! Such fun memories.
