May 2014
Just a few weeks after our trip to Zion's, we got to do other fun things. First, we got to go on a bike ride up Provo Canyon with Jordan's little sister and her husband, Shaylee and Kevin.
We got to stop by Bridal Veil Falls on our way up the canyon.
The boys thought it would be fun to swim across the river so they could jump off a rope swing... that is until they put their feet in the water and it was freezing cold!
There were also a lot of tree branches every where so it was hard to walk through if you wanted to cross.
Kevin, Shaylee, Jordan, and me
The scenery was gorgeous! Bright green and blooming colors every where.
Of course Jordan and Kevin weren't looking where they're going! ;)
Overall, the bike ride was amazing! I wish we had our own bikes to go all the time. It was a beautiful spring day, the bike ride was great, and then we came back to our car....
We were getting close to the parking lot and I spotted our car. I noticed that there was something different about our car. Still on our bikes, I turned to Jordan and said, "Someone hit our car!" "What?!?! No way." he said. "Yes! Someone totally hit our car!" We got closer, and unfortunately I was right.
Being poor college students, we started to panic. I set down my bike and started examining all the other cars in the parking lot - trying to see if the culprit was still there. Jordan started to ask other people if they had seen it happen, but we found nothing. Finally, we saw something on the windshield. A note! They were nice enough to leave a note! Jordan was able to contact them and found out they accidentally backed up into our car as they were leaving. They gave us their insurance information and everything worked out!
The dent looks a lot bigger in person, but I'm just glad people are so nice. :)
A week or so after that we spent Memorial Day Weekend with Jordan's family.
Jordan being dramatic... as usual.
I seriously felt like we were in Jurassic Park! It was awesome!
I guess Johnny doesn't think this dinosaur is friendly.
Jordan and I felt like kids again. We just love dinosaurs!
Jordan and Johnny crept around the park like dinosaurs. While I was taking this picture, Johnny turned to Jordan and said, "Let's eat people!" ha ha
Such a cutie.
Caity and Johnny with Grandma (Jordan's mom)
Almost every time we tried to take a picture together, Jordan would do something silly... so it was my turn...
Jordan, Jordan, Jordan...
Caity and Jordan were so cute on the swings together. Jordan was pretending he didn't know how to swing, so Caity was teaching him.
To make the dinosaur experience complete, Jordan and his mom played a game of tic-tac-toe.
William was so cute. Always smiling.
If you can't tell, Jordan likes to do this just about every where we go. :)
Okay, we may have had a little too much fun on our own here...
Later that day we went to Toad's. They have arcade games, mini-golf, batting cages, and go-carts. It was a ton of fun, especially watching Jordan's family race. ;)
I'd like everyone to notice that Shaylee and her dad both struck the same pose coming in (holding up #1). ha ha
A couple days later we snuck a quick visit to Seven Peaks.
We were home for a few days, and then we took off to Denver, Colorado for a friend's wedding. It was one of Jordan's best friends from high school. One of Jordan's other friends, Kordan, came with us on the trip.
We hit the road just in time to see the sunrise. It was bitter sweet: a beautiful sight, but then it made us realize how early it was... lol
The Colorado River was MOVING! Man, the water level was high and the water was quick!
Jordan and Kordan went to their friend's bachelor party and so I hung out with John and Mary and the kids. The picture shows what Caity and Johnny put together.
The next day was the wedding day!
How sweet. :)
After the wedding we went to Jordan's Aunt and Uncle's house to have a big family dinner. It was so fun meeting some of Jordan's extended family for the first time.
I love how this picture captures what Jordan and his brothers do in every picture: stand on their tippie toes.
The next day we hung out with Jordan's family and they took us to this cool place. Seriously I felt like dinosaurs were going to come around the corner.
Jordan and Kordan
Jordan loves taking pictures...
I think Jordan only smiles when its a pose he chooses. lol
I never saw Johnny's face in this picture until now. Poor guy. lol
Soon after seeing that sweet golf course, we went to the Red Rocks Amphitheater to eat lunch. (It's hard to tell, but you can see Denver in the background).
Closer view of Denver from Red Rocks.
Unfortunately we had to go home right after we finished lunch. Kordan was in love with Colorado. I think he was trying to take in all the Colorado air he could before we left.
