April 11-18, 2015
I don't remember why, but 7-11 had a promotion where you could fill any container that fit in a 10" circle with any kind of Slurpee you wanted for just $1. Jordan and I happen to love Slurpees. In fact, before we started dating, our group of friends would go and get Slurpees almost weekly. And after Jordan and I did get together, we still would get Slurpees all the time. Needless to say, we couldn't resist...
It was a beautiful day and so we decided to walk to 7-11. We got quite a few weird looks from people as we were walking with our giant containers of Slurpee. The Slurpees were super good! Jordan and I were pretty warm from our walk, so we ended up drinking about half of our Slurpees once we got home. Ya, that was not the best idea we've ever had. Jordan and I spent the rest of the afternoon recovering from those Slurpees. haha But it was totally worth it!!!
Just a few days later, we went to a Colombian restaurant in Taylorsville called Andinita's. We've been there a few times so that Jordan can get his fill of authentic Colombian cuisine. We knew we needed to go at least one more time before we moved cross-country. It started snowing on our drive up to Taylorsville, but it wasn't enough to stop us. I'm glad we went because that food really hit the spot! The soup, plantanos, meat, and juices are all sooooo good! If you ever get a chance to try Colombian food, do it!
As you can tell, Jordan was in heaven eating his Colombian food. :)
The very next Saturday was my baby shower. My friends Lana and Ashley threw the shower for me and I am so grateful for everything they did. We played games, ate treats, and I had way too many gifts to open! People were so generous! It made me feel so special that people cared so much! I'm so grateful that my baby girl is going to have everything she needs and more because of how sweet my family and friends are. And it was so much fun to see lots of friends and family (some people I hadn't seen in years!).
I seriously love my family! These are some of the family that came from my dad's side (my mom and I were having so much fun that we didn't get pictures of everybody):
Left to right: My Aunt Julie and my cousins Jen, Casey, and Danielle. These girls have always been so loving and so supportive. I am going to miss them so much when we move away. :(Below is all of the family that came from my mom's side:
Left to Right: Me, my grandmother, my mom, Great Aunt Linda, Aunt LaDawna, Aunt Karen, my cousin Gabrielle, my cousin Jackie and her daughter Ariana, and my Aunt Denise.
Lana had a rocking chair that she decorated with balloons for me to sit in. It was all so cute and so sweet. :)
I almost forgot to talk about Jordan's reaction when I got home from the shower! My mom and I started to bring in gifts from the car so Jordan came out to help us. He was so surprised to see the whole car was full of gifts. He was even more surprised to see how much room those gifts took up when we put it all in our living room. lol It was so funny to see Jordan's face. I knew all he could think about was how much room we were going to have when we move cross-country. But we would much rather have our baby girl spoiled and get rid of our junk than to not have enough for her. We felt very lucky and very blessed.

So fun! It is always remarkable to me how the littlest one in the family takes up the most space! :) Little girl Brassell needs to get here soon!
