My parents came to visit us!!! It was their real first trip to the East Coast together. We had so much fun! Our first little adventure was going to the Museum of Art. It was amazing as usual, but my parent's favorite work of art was definitely Maria.
And of course we had to take a classic Rocky picture. We didn't go to the top of the stairs since we had Maria and it was freezing! I think it turned out pretty cute. :)
The museum is so huge! Can you see my parents at the top of those stairs?
We couldn't drive around Philly without driving past the Philadelphia Temple (under construction, but still beautiful!). And sorry for the finger in this photo.
Jordan was in class while we were at the museum, but we met up with him for lunch at Reading Terminal. He was a few minutes late getting out and Maria started to get fussy. Luckily my parents whipped out a phone and played her favorite song, "Lava."
Because it was cold, we also enjoyed some time inside. My parents helped so much. They hung pictures, put together furniture, and most importantly spent time with Maria.
Our last mini adventure was walking around Independence Hall and then the US Mint. My dad is an avid coin collector, so he enjoyed this part a lot. :)
When my mom was 16, she went on a trip to Europe and unfortunately only got one lick of gelato while in Italy (she could have had more if she licked it off the ground, but I don't blame her). Jordan and I had studied and asked around where the best authentic gelato was and so we took my parents there. And I've gotta say, it was soooo delicious!
Maria had fun even though she didn't get a taste. lol
Now I can't remember which night, but we ordered some local Italian food for dinner (we also asked around and studied it out). It was the BEST Italian food we had ever had in our lives!!! Another reason we love New Jersey.
My parents also got to come to church with us. We loved introducing them to all the wonderful people here who have taken such great care of us!
Jordan and I were lucky to have my parents babysit while we went on our Valentine's date! On Valentine's Day! It was my turn to plan, so I surprised Jordan by taking him to Joe's Crab Shack. Jordan would talk about it EVERY time we drove by so of course we had to go. I didn't get any seafood, but Jordan had some coconut shrimp!

So fun! I love that Maria girl, it kind of breaks my heart she isn't this little baby any more!
