Adventure #63: Easter Weekend

"Easter is the only time of year when it's perfectly safe to put all your eggs in one basket." - Kurt Avish

*That quote doesn't really relate to this post (except that it's about Easter), but I just thought it was really funny. Anyone else? Anyone? That's okay, at least I laughed.

We had our first Easter with Maria! We also happened to be house sitting, so we had Easter at the Sikahema's house! We were pretty lucky about that since we didn't have any carving tools for the ham at our place. Jordan planned an Easter egg hunt for me and Maria. Maria almost beat me! Jordan's family are experts at hiding Easter eggs, so it took me a while to find all the eggs he hid! Maria also got some Easter gifts from family.  :)

I was extremely proud of this ham. I made my own glaze and it tasted incredible!

Since Easter dinner was the first holiday meal we had with just our little family, I wanted to decorate a little... So I bought a glittery rabbit and some candles. Voila! And yes, we drank rootbeer. No judging!

This drooly girl had an Easter outfit for each stage of the day. Her dress, overalls, and Easter jammies.

The next day I had to run to the store. I was so sick of carrying the carseat inside the grocery store and I decided she was big enough to sit in the cart. I don't know why I hadn't started doing that earlier, but it was so nice! Except for the belt being broken so I had to hold her in place the whole time.
